Balance

Overview

Allows you to change the colour balance (brightness, contrast and gamma) of an image.

Controls

Brightness

Brightens or darkens the image. The brightness controls works by adding or subtracting to the RGB colour values (ie. it is not a multiplicative brighten). Values range from -100 to +100.

Contrast

Increases or reduces the contrast of an image. Values range between -100 and +100.

Gamma

Gamma affects how the light and dark colours are treated in an image. An increased gamma value (greater than 1.0) will brighten all the light colours in the image, but leave the dark colours largely untouched. This has the effect of also increasing the contrast. Reduced gamma darkens the dark colours in the image while leaving the light colours largely alone.
